"He went to the window and saw lake and forest
married in perfect silence.
The vast land. Too vast for fools to ruin it all.
He went outside and walked in the cold air to
the water and heard himself say in a normal voice,
'The sphinx has returned to the world before, after all.'"
Hugh MacLennan, Return of the Sphinx

"A man has to think he hasn't got a country before
he knows what having one means."
Hugh Maclennan, Barometer Rising

I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and lived in Southfield until I was 4. We then
moved to Stockbridge, Michigan where I lived until I was 13. My family then
moved to Riner, Virginia, a small town near Blacksburg. I graduated from
Auburn High School in Riner. I then spent the next ten years (!) living in Charlottesville,
Virginia attending the University of Virginia. After a short stint in Florida, I
landed in Orange County, California. I now live in Pacific Beach, which is a
community in San Diego, California.

Some pictures of the motley crew I call my friends are contained in this site. More pictures
are being added on an intermittent basis.
My family consists of my sister, my mom and my dad. My sister lives in Tampa Bay, Florida.
My parents live about an hour away from her, also in Florida. I also have a half-brother who
lives in Michigan. I don't see any of them as often as I should. Some pictures are contained in this site.

I am a proud home owner. I have big plans for my condo. Some pictures of the
view from my porch are contained in this site. More pictures are being added on an
intermittent basis.
